Christopher W. Ricks
Chris Ricks co-founded the Traeger & Ricks, PLLC law firm, following a successful completion of the Texas Bar Exam. Chris graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree.
Prior to and during law school, Chris worked for 10 years as an independent petroleum landman contracted primarily through Thomas W. Schleier & Associates of Seguin, Texas. Additionally, Chris worked as a title attorney law clerk for several months at a firm in Alamo Heights. Chris worked and learned the oil and gas business from boom to eventual bust at which time he decided to diversify his skills through attending law school. Chris is well versed in oil and gas matters affecting mineral owners and title to lands. Chris has wide experience working in counties throughout Texas, researching records and building abstracts of title. Additionally, Chris is experienced in residential, commercial, and farm & ranch real estate matters. Finally, Chris is passionate about property ownership as well as its disposition at the end of life or via gratuitous intervivos gift and is willing and able to aid in these personal matters.
Originally from Katy, Texas, Chris was raised from age 9 in New Braunfels, Texas. Chris has been active in the New Braunfels community through his involvement and participation with:
